Daniel continues on with his life after gaining a new friend, Fermin Romero de Torres. This man lost his material life after the war and became a homeless drunkard. Daniel later brought him into work for his dad in the book shop. Torres, despite being immature at times, worked hard and at the end of the chunk, there lies a possibility of love between the Clara's maid and Torres.
Could Clara's maid finally have found the man that she was searching for?

I think that Fermin is a serious candidate for Bernarda, but there is just something about him. It seems to me that Fermin might still be hiding something, that his past may haunt him, which may not allow him to build a serious relationship with Bernarda. There's jsut something about him..
i still find it strange that a cia agent would become homless because of one conspirator that was against him.
And for Claras maid..possibly
throughout the chapter Sempere pressures him to get a girl. so maybe..u never know
